Churchill office

The Churchill Square office project is a pleasant contrast to the historical building of Prague’s Main Train Station.  The project is distinctly contemporary and yet you get the feeling that it belongs there, that it has always been there. 

Each of the project’s buildings has its own character and identity. They are both airy yet austere in their own way. This is contrasted by a certain playfulness in the composition of passages, overlooks, courtyards and terraces in the area which is open to the public. Their ideal connection is a public space in the form of a piazza, a small square with plenty of greenery and a water feature.  It is the heart of the project and the gateway to Žižkov from the train and metro. Anyone passing through in the opposite direction will appreciate the incomparable and unique view of Old Prague, Petřín and Prague Castle.

The Churchill Square project is LEED GOLD certified! Obtaining this certificate confirms that the Churchill I and II projects think about the environment as well as the work atmosphere, which can positively influence the efficiency of employees.

Nekap provided the waterproofing of the underground structure. Xypex Admix C-1000 NF was used as part of the waterproofing system, as well as waterproofing joints, penetrations, and other details. Nekap provided a full waterproofing guarantee for the substructure.

Kancelářský projekt Churchill Square je při pohledu na panorama Prahy příjemným protikladem k historické budově hlavního vlakového nádraží.  Projekt je výsostně současný a přitom máte pocit, že tam patří, že tam byl odjakživa. 

Každá z budov projektu má svůj charakter a vlastní identitu. Obě jsou vzdušné ale zároveň svým způsobem přísné. Tomu je protikladem jistá hravost ve skladbě průchodů, průhledů, nádvoří a teras v části, která otevírá parter veřejnosti. Jejich ideální propojení představuje veřejný prostor v podobě piazzy, malého náměstí s dostatkem zeleně a vodním prvkem.  Je srdcem projektu  a zároveň vstupní branou na Žižkov při cestě od vlaku i metra. Každý, kdo tudy projde opačným směrem, pak ocení jedinečný a neotřelý pohled na Starou Prahu, Petřín i Pražský hrad.

Projekt Churchill Square má certifikát LEED GOLD! Získání tohoto certifikátu potvrzuje to, že projekty Churchill I a II myslí jednak na životní prostředí a také na to pracovní, které může pozitivně ovlivňovat výkonnost zaměstnanců.

Společnost Nekap zajišťovala hydroizolaci spodní stavby. V rámci hydroizolačního systému byl použit Xypex Admix C-1000 NF, dále byly vodotěsně ošetřeny spáry, prostupy a další detaily. Společnost Nekap poskytla plnou záruku na vodotěsnost spodní stavby.
